180 West George Street – Glasgow
The refurbishment of 180 West George Street, Glasgow provided us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase how we can take computer generated images and make the design come to life.
Michael Laird Architects concept for a stunning backlit rear wall provided a main feature to this newly refurbished reception and creating a shimmer of descending diamonds, cut to various depths and precisely positioned in each panel with LED back lighting which enhanced and brought to life the design.
The works comprised:-
- Taking Michael Laird Architects layouts and visuals to produce samples and 3D models.
- Our 5 Axis CNC produced the complex design required at various depths in the Corian.
- Specialist LED lighting was then positioned precisely to backlight the feature shapes.
- Construction of the panels and on site installation by our specialist teams.
